The user interface of TeachMe: 3rd Grade is designed to be child-friendly, allowing children to play independently without adult assistance. Mimi Mouse, the animated teacher, provides verbal instructions and feedback to encourage children to learn and succeed. Additionally, the learning screens are colorful, engaging, and cover six different subjects in rotation to prevent boredom.

A standout feature of TeachMe: 3rd Grade is its use of TeachTech, 24x7digital's writing recognition engine. This technology allows children to write their answers for math and spelling questions, with TeachMe: 3rd Grade reading and interpreting their responses. In cases where a child requires assistance, TeachMe: 3rd Grade demonstrates how to write the correct answer using proper stroke order.

Each child using TeachMe: 3rd Grade has their own achievements screen, which serves as a motivational tool by showing progress and levels achieved in each subject. Parents can also take advantage of this screen to track their child's progress quickly. Furthermore, parents have the ability to select which subjects they want their child to focus on, set different difficulty levels, and even choose specific questions. TeachMe: 3rd Grade also tracks performance for each subject, specifically the last five questions.

For added convenience, users can export sticker scenes, Photobooth images, and aquarium snapshots to the Photos app for emailing or using as wallpaper.
